Hi,

I have a server that monitors other machines on the network, I also have a cron job to mail the stats to an e-mail address.

I need to be able to send the same e-mail to about 3 addresses, I have done this before, I think it was setup in /etc/mail.rc

could someone please let me know the correct file and the correct format for the group, it was something like :

sysadmin_mail = email1@xxx.com, email2@xxx.com, email3@xxx.com.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

This is how you do that:
alias sysadmin_mail  email1@xxx.com email2@xxx.com email3@xxx.com

Excellent page describing some other options you can specify in /etc/mail.rc

You need to install the mailx package to get this working.

Hope that helps
