Restoring a tape with Backup Exec 9.0 Rev4175 from a tape that was backed up by ArcserveIt 6

Hi im trying to restore some files from a tapes that was backuped by ArcserveIt.  We change program and now we use ackup Exec.  When i murge the tape to see the file, i see some directories that are duplicate and when i selected a file to restore it, it don't seem to work...I wait 15 minutes and nothing happenned.  Anyone here know how to restores those files???? Thanks for the help

I would use a separate machine to install ArcServe, and hook the tape up and restore them Locally to the Server.

Backup Exec can restore ArcServe Format. Make sure to first Catalog the tape using Backup Exec. Once it is Cataloged you should be able to restore the files.

I already cataloged the tape and it can't restore the file...it run for 15 minutes for a .doc and it didn't do anything so i stop it.  Also on the tape the are directories that are duplicated.  Please help me someone i need the file.  Its important
