Hi!

I'm not sure how you setup a USB printern in Linux.
But if you connect it to the paralell port instead you can just run printcfg tool in X-Windows in RedHat, give the printer a name choose your printer model to get the right filter and start printing from that computer.

On the other RH machine you run the same printcfg program setup remote printer, choose the name of RH8 server that has the printer and as port choose the name you gave to the printer. Choose a name the printer should have on this computer too.

Now you'll be able to print from both computers.
The configuration is the same for the other computer even if you use USB, but as I said no idea how you'll get this working in Linux.

Not necessarily right away though. You'll also have to edit /etc/lpd.perms on the server.
You might have to comment out the line

REJECT SERVICE=X NOT SERVER

Worst comes to worst, just put this:

# all other operations allowed
DEFAULT ACCEPT
