Hello,

I should elborate my question.  OCR works only if the image contains text.

But my requirement is that, I have an image file(I saved the html page as an image) and try to read the text from the image.

Any help is most appreciated

Hello,

Hi Venkitta,

Don't refresh the page.  Click on the " Reload This Question" link on the Top Left of the page. Otherwise your question will be repeated.

Also, still I'm not clear abt your requirement. "Reading Text from image ..........."
Sorry for any inconvenience.  Thanks for educating me.

I repeat my requirement.

I have saved my timesheet page (web page) as an image.  I need to read the text like project code, task code etc.

Hope I'm clear

That is why I said you can use an OCR software. If it is a one time requirement; I don't think you need to go for an OCR.

Some OCRs can read forms as it is.  In some OCRs, you can define zones (one zone for each field you want to read - for example : task code) with the x & y co-ordinates, height and width (it is a troublesome job).   Some OCRs have better methods
Thanks.  I'll be using the OCR for multiple times.

Appreciate all your help
