There are many softwares awailables for this purpose.  They are called OCR (Optical Character Resolution) softwares.  I don't know if there are any free softwares.  You may have to pay for most of them.  (That you can find out from the internet).  Some of the softwares available are : ScanSoft, Prizm Plug-in 4 With OCR 4.0 (http://www.tmssequoia.com/) etc.  There are many more.

Hello,

I should elborate my question.  OCR works only if the image contains text.

But my requirement is that, I have an image file(I saved the html page as an image) and try to read the text from the image.

Any help is most appreciated

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Hi Venkitta,

Don't refresh the page.  Click on the " Reload This Question" link on the Top Left of the page. Otherwise your question will be repeated.

Also, still I'm not clear abt your requirement. "Reading Text from image ..........."

That is why I said you can use an OCR software. If it is a one time requirement; I don't think you need to go for an OCR.

Some OCRs can read forms as it is.  In some OCRs, you can define zones (one zone for each field you want to read - for example : task code) with the x & y co-ordinates, height and width (it is a troublesome job).   Some OCRs have better methods
