<form method="post" action="mailto:dest@address?subject=form output" enctype="text/plain">

Although using the mailto: in the form action would work, it would only work if the person has their browser configured with their e-mail program (which isn't always the case).

There are a number of online services that would allow you to call scripts on their server which would then forward the info to you. This my not be the best solution if you are dealing with the transmission of sensitive data, but for average feedback forms, it could do the trick. Below are a couple of links to some of these services:

http://www.bravenet.com/

Hope this helps :)

I use the following java script on my my site and it has proved very satisfactory.  It came with software purchased from http://www.coffeecup.com
All you need to do is change the address in the line
action="mailto:you@yourprovider.com?subject=Message"
to your own address.  "Message" can be changed to whatever you want to represent different service requests etc if you wish.

Change www.yoursite.com to your own site.

Give it a go.

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=JavaScript>
  if (navigator.appVersion.lastIndexOf('Win') != -1) {
      dropline = "\r\n"  } else { dropline = "\n" }
function coffeemsg(form) {
document.ccform.Message.value = (
   '  ' + dropline + dropline
  + '-----CoffeeCup AutoMated E-Mail Form---START----- ' + dropline
  + dropline + dropline
  + 'Name     : ' + document.ccform.name.value + dropline
  + 'Phone    : ' + document.ccform.phone.value + dropline
  + 'Subject  : ' + document.ccform.subject.value + dropline
