limited retrieval from server...

My father is using Outlook Express at work and he's retrieving mail from a remote server over a 56k connection.

Is there any way to retrieve only information about mails and not the mail itself? Only getting sender and subject and then be able to d/l the mails you want...

IMAP will allow you to do this. The server would have to be setup to allow IMAP access though.
