MTSTransactionMode vs COM+ transaction supported

I have a vb dll in which the MTSTransactionMode is set to 0. i put dll in com+ and specify it as transaction supported. Can you plese tell me if this object when called from a asp code runs inside a transaction or not

Hi platinum,

I think the answer is YES (not tested). NotAnMTSObject(0) is default value for MTSTransactionMode. However we can change this later by using setting in MTS when deploy the .dll.
You can test this fast by bulding a component that has one method that perform 2 update SQL statements. The first SQL statement is valide and the second SQL statement is invalid. This component is NotAnMTSObject at design time.

When deploy this on MTS set this to RequiresTransaction(2). And call the mothod from ASP. If the first SQL statement is not effected. That mean it support Transaction.
