Hi
i have a doubt. I use JBoss3.0 & Tomcat 4.0.3.
I get this error when i try to login(first page). Then i need to restart the JBoss. (When i removed the temp directory i didnt get this.) Is there any way to solve this error. This is the error thrown by the JBoss.

What might be the problem?

Somewhere near here, you try to instantiate a class which extends another class which is declared final...

ie:  you have a class called A (for example)

public final class A
{
  public A()
  {
    System.out.println( "I am A" ) ;
  }
}

and then you are trying to create B:

public class B extends A
{
  public B()
  {
    super() ;
    System.out.println( "I am B" ) ;
  }
}

This will fail...as B extends A

and A is FINAL :-/

Hope this helps :-)

Nope.

we have not declared any final class. When we try to clear the temp & restart JBoss, it works.

we r not getting this often but at times we get this error.

Is it the bug of JBoss??

Are you using JBoss 3.0?

Have you got the latest version?

3.0.6

If this is a bug, it should be fixed in there...

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

You sure you havent extended a final class?

I can't find anything about this on the JBoss mailing lists...

sure you havent extended java.lang.Number or something by mistake?
