The scenario is:

User attempts to send mail message with attachment to multiple recipients <in our domain>

Many of the messages returned to user with the

DELIVERY FAILURE: Error delivering to abc, someone else modified this document at the same time...

Transaction logging is used on our server.....and I think this happened after the domino had been restarted <the server shutdown in this instance was not 'clean'>

any ideas?

You may want to check for replication conflicts in the Public NAB. You can do so by buiding a view that has the selection formula:

SELECT @IsAvailable($Conflict)

and make sure the view option "Show response documents in a hierarchy" is deselected.

If you do find any replication conflicts, you should try to resolve them as best you can, then when there are no more left, try sending the mail to the group(s) again and see if anything is different.
