Hi,

I am trying to develop a program that will delete the junk files that windows and IE create.  I have used Webroot's Window Washer program and think that the software is excellent and although my aim isn't to re-invent the wheel, I am wanting to combine building a personal file eraser whilst developing my VB skills.  I have tried using the "MS Shell Controls and Automation" to clear everything in say the "History" folder but find that the files Index.dat and Desktop.ini cannot be deleted resulting in the operation been canceled. If anyone knows an a better way, or could suggest where I am going wrong it would be much appreciated.

Rgds,

Dave
