Limiting PHP interpreter

By going into the web server configuration, I know I can set it up so that HTML files can be sent through the PHP interpreter before being sent to a browser, but is there a way to set it up so that only HTML files from a specific location on the webserver will be sent through the PHP interpreter?  By this I mean in a directory called, 'display', the HTML files would go straight to the browser, but directory 'action' would send HTML files to the interpreter first.

Any help would be appreciated.

I can't get access to a test machine right now, but I think this will help do what you want...

<Directory /usr/local/httpd/htdocs/action>
     AllowOverride FileInfo
     AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

That would need to go in your httpd.conf file. Alternatively, you could drop those directives into a .htaccess file for the directory in question.

Hope that helps!
