probably you should fix this just by installingvisual basic on the win98 machine. This is because of the libraries I believe. Search "vb libraries" on tucows.com it should give you some nice ones as well if you don't want to install vb on the other machine.

probably you need this file

http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/install/6/Win98Me/EN-US/VBRun60.exe

install it and then it should work

I agree with igfp, It's because of lib. To run your application in Win98 machine, you must recompile program code in Win98 machine. All lib (reference and custom control) in Win98 machine must have same like in XPmachine, may be diffence version or location, but it's not problem as long it's have same name, you can re-register the library file if in other location.

Honestly I think it's wierd! UCase? This is not supposed to happen... Once you've installed VB on W98 all the VB libraries are there. It's very wierd, I don't know how to explain it, maybe sanya2 or WarLord knows something about this.

And this aplication had no bugs whatsoever on windows xp? Here's an idea, you can see the associated files by downloading an install aplication. From microsoft download "Visual Studio Installer" and make a new project with "Visual basic project". It will include all the associated files. It's a shot... I really don't know why this is happening...

I have get same problem like, but in other VB commonly function (date, dateadd, etc) and not because ported other platform. I think it's because VB bug. And same like igfp comments, i create new project, and relink all reference, control, form, and modules and compile them. hopefully, no any problem and the program run as well.
