how to import image files
like jpeg,gif,bmp
in c programming language can anyone help me
with this with a source code and explanation.

I would suggest you check out openil, an open source image library.  It can easily load and save a variety of image formats with very little code on your part.

Also, if You code for WinXP - there's GDI+, which has functionality for handling files from bmp, through gif, jpg to tiff...
Check microsoft.public.platformsdk.gdi newsgroup at msnews.microsoft.com and MS PSDK.
