Recording calls using Modem

I want to use a modem to record telephone calls information that done with normal telephone handset such as:

- Dialed Number
- Duration
- Start time

Is it posible to use normal modem which contains Phone and Line sockets and is it posible to use normal telephone to call any numbers and then be recorded in my computer.

Does any one has an experince of that, using Tapi or any Delphi component.

is TAPI functionality capable to access Phone socket and trape call session?

Thanks in advance

Some TAPI expert told me that it is impossible, because Phone socket is connected physically with Line socket and no way to detect Phone socket or control it.
