Is there any way to make a simple protection against making copies of my VB6 program.
I do not want to use  a dongle on the LPT1.

Is it possible to put in a serial number on a floppy that is automaticly copied into the Hard disk when the application starts for the first time.

if u want to protect ur program copying from ur comp

find ur hard disk Serialno through api function GetHDDSerialNo in ur progaram
and use a code to check wheather ur HddSerialNo matches with ur no entered in ur program so that if some one even copy program but it doesnt work in other comp since the HDDSerialNo differs
hope it will work for u
