"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Your question is kind of confusing. If you need to work with GPS (Global Positioning System), I think I can help you but you will have to rephrase your question so I can understand better what you want.

I think abuobida wants to read the GPS signal from his USB port as an binary number and convert it in coordinates to be shown on his form.

Is that is abuobida?

Have a nice day everyone! :-)

I don't know if he wants the real world coordinate in a string though or just translate to graphically represent it on the Delphi canvas...

You obviously do not understand anything of USB.
USB is not a serial line, but a serial bus.
Reading "the USB port" is like trying to read your ethernet cable.

Get my HID component from http://www.delphi-gems.com/controls.php , install it and compile the samples.
Then tell if your GPS receiver shows up in one of the examples.
