Help! Easy Way to Backup/Restore Outlook Express

thanks to all, in advance, for your assistance,

i'm about to move my outlook express files to a new pc. all of the backup/restore directions i've located are terrible: long, confusing, complicated. what complicates my backup/restore situation, in particular, is that there are 5 users of the program: so 5 different sets of mail files, address books, etc.

i'm looking for an easy way to backup and restore Outlook Express. does anyone out there have a plain and simple solution? or, at least, a solution that's well articulated?

thanks you, again :)

You don't say which you have tried but this is probably the best - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;270670

hi slink9, i meant to say that i haven't tried any method yet. i'll do all this tomorrow (tuesday) evening, as the new board is supposed to arrive on wednesday and i'd like to be ready to transfer everything over to the new system.

i've also read about programs that transfer OE files (obviously the must "automate" the procedure listed in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article. Don't know if anybody knows of such programs?

This is an excellent start. The directions seem clear/concise. I'll leave this open for the next day or two to see if anyone will suggest alternative methods (utilities) to do the same.

Thanks, slink9!
