How to set authentication in SMTP

Hi Everybody,

I have exchg2k configured securly with mutiple email domains and it is functioning properly.

Now the question is i just want to prohibit relay to some email domains.

I tried to add the domain name in the SMTP properties-- Access--relay-->only the list below. And I also unchecked the Allow all computers to relay.....
Eg.
I created abc.com,ghi.com and xyz.com, i will be able to send and receive mail with all the above email domains. I just want to prohibit the relay for xyz.com.

Kindly suggest to resolve this problem.

In W2K Exchange relaying is disabled unless u specify the domains that u want .

Hi Vahik,

Thanks for the response.

The question is How to do that?

I specified the domains in the SMTP relay property.

OR give steps to check to resolve.

ok now the ones that u want to allow relaying have to be in the box on the relaying restriction page and box "All except the list below" has to be checked. the way u do it is to click  add and then  check domain and then enter domain names that u want.

If u have a pop server u have to leave this box checked.

"Allow all computers which successfuly authanticate to relay"
