VB Programming for COM Port Data Capture

I want your help to know about how to make my programe to read the Data from the Scanner Connected to COM Port and the main problem is their will be two scanners one will be to COM1 and the other scanner will be connected to Com2 when the USer scans in the COM 1 the item is considered as Check In Form and when they use COM 2 they need to inform it has check out

Can anyone help me to say how to do this

As long as you know the baud rate and parity settings of the scanners, VB makes this pretty easy.

Use one MSComm control per comm port that you want to access.  Set the properties such as the port number, etc.

This control has a lot of functionality, but normally I just set the .portopen property to true and then use a timer on a small delay to poll the .input property for the data.
