Adding Cable Broadband firewall to my current network

I have a 8 port switch connected to 6 computers on a Windows 2000 server network. What is the best way to install a Netscreen 5xt firewall that will be connected to the internet?

Internet<-->router<-->NetScreen<-->switch<-->users

Can you be more specific in your question?

How would I network in the netscreen 5xt which is a router/switch to my current switch?

If your switch has an uplink port, use it to connect to the Netscreen. If not, just plug them together using a ethernet crossover cable, and you can plug users into either switch.

Since the NS is a router, too:

Internet<-->NS5xt<-->switch<-->LAN

i would use smoothwall as it is free and secure. i would get hold of a old p100 and go

internet-smoothwall-switch-LAN

Thanks for the info!
I did look at smoothwall also and it looks like a fit, but the question was dealing with the already available equipment.
