Can anybody point me in the right direction for writing a Java application that enables an email to be opened and "read".

I'd like to be able to retrieve the body of the e-mail and display it to the screen, without having to navigate thru to Outlook, or Hotmail, or which ever email browser being used.

cheers for any help
