Recommendations and Requirements

I have been given the task of putting together a quote for hosting client company databases.  I need a configuration that wont bankrupt them while providing HIGH security, performance, availability, scalability, and so on...
Each company will have leased line T-1's, router, webserver, firewall, PDC, app server, database server (cluster even), all in our house. I need recommended spending prices and hardware specs for all these areas.  They wanna connect through VPN of course.
We wanna stick with Microsoft and Dell.  We are hoping in the 50k range.  Is this possible (while worth it)?  I dont wanna price something thats too powerful, after all, they are using VPN.  Need input, INPUT!!!  Please

i use a vendor called cdw, http://www.cdw.com. they have a tons of specialists on staff that could help you with the technical info/pricing needed to put together a quote of this complexity.

there are just too many factors involved with something like this to be able to help you in this type of forum. licensing, etc.

good luck,
kris.
