I'm looking for a solution that will allow me to connect two computers over the internet using the MSWinsock Control.

Is this possible, or is there another control that will do this?

I need to be able to send strings of data between the two machines.

Yes, use winsock.

Add a Winsock control called Winsock1.

In your sub do this:

winsock1.connect "www.yahoo.com", 80

Then in the winsock1_Connect event do whatever you need to do.

Note you MUST close it before you can connect.

Yeah, but what i'm after is to connect two home PC's, both with internet access together over the internet.
