I seem to be having problems when using a manifest file to use XP's common controls (black appearences).
Heres the manifest file

Heres a screenshot..

Also how can i include the manifest resource into the application rather than it being external? ive seen this done with the messenger Plus 2! addon for msn messenger.

Many Thanks.

That happens when you put buttons and things of that nature in frames.  If you use picture boxes instead it works properly (I had the same problem myself).

As for inserting a manifest resource into the application I know there is a software title that does it, however, there are many occasions in which it doesn't compile correctly, and I can't seem to remember the name of the software at this current moment.

Ah yes, I remember now.  There is a software program at http://www.heaventools.com called PE Explorer.  While it's primary purpose is a disassembler, there is a manifest compiler included.
