Anyone know any script that I can use to automate qmail new account addition?

To add a new account, we need to edit /var/qmail/users/assign manually, and then execute qmail-newu.

Is there any script so it will be a lot easier to add account?

Hi nova,

I recall that somewhere in "Life with qmail" - the most popular qmail introduction document - there is mention of a script that generates qmail accounts from the Linux password file, which contains all system users.

This might be the qmail-newu script that you are talking about. I don't know for sure, but my memory seems to recall that there were two scripts to run: one for to convert the password file and one to configure the resulting qmail users. I haven't done this in some time so it's all a bit foggy.

Is this roughly what you are looking for? Were you looking along the lines of a script that would create an entirely new user AND its related qmail account?
