STL with KDevelop and Linux

I want to create a command line C++ app, that uses STL on Linux. I want to use KDevelop and would prefer to use Mandrake.

Now the questions.

Is STL automatically installed OR do I have to download it seperately?

Do I have to do something special to make KDevelop see STL headers?

The C++ development package provides the STL headers.

I am pretty sure if you have C++ install, KDevelop will see them right out of the box. (This is if KDevelop isn't dependant on C++ being there)

KDevelop by default uses gcc as compiler. So, it locates the gcc location. So, gcc installation automatically contains STL, if I understand you correctly.
