How to schedule 2000 server restart
Anyone know how to schedule a 2000 Server re-boot without the resource kit?

company doesn't have it and doesn't want to buy
Geesh no offense but a company that gets a Sever OS and doesn't want to take full advantage of the OS by not wanting to buy the resource kit makes one wonder why they spent the money getting the OS. :>)
I can only support CrazyOne's opinion. Trying to administer a Windows network without the Resource Kit is worse than trying to change a car tire using the original tools ...
SysInternals has some REALLY GOOD Tools for free, including PSShutdown which can be used in tandem with the scheduler service

look under utilities and look for PSTools: You want ALL OF THEM.

Umm YarnoSG if look at the link in my second post you will see that PSTools is one of the utilities listed. :>)
Oops sorry PsShutdown is what is listed not PSTools
if you have XP in the office, you can find the shutdown.exe in the windows folder, try it. parameter "-i" will bring you a dialog interface.
sorry, forgot the schedule, put it in your schedule task list with the parameters(e.g. -r -m \\localhost).
