Double or single mouse click opens a window with "Open"

I recently installed a dual monitor system on my PC with some wonderful results like being able to have MSWord on one monitor and Dreamweaver on another, but ran into a minor change in windows:

When I double click on a file, a menu pops up as if I right clicked the mouse. Both video cards are of different makes.

I have a 1.8 CPU, 512 memory, dual boot system and a dual monitor system. There are no viruses.

Thanks for the help in advance...Joe

Ps: Important, curious and easy I hope!

I had this problem the other day. It seems something got corrupted. I rebooted the system, the problem went away. I assume the problem has not gone away for you.

Restore your registry to an earlier date and see if that fixes the problem. From the desktop, select Start > Run and type scanreg /restore. Click OK. Select a date before this problem first occurred.  If this does not work do a scanreg /fix.

Can you mentioned a dual monitor system name?

aboali: The program should be called multidesk. It came with an Intel disk for my motherboard, callactive monitor. As I go to the control panel and then to monitors, the two monitor Icons appear under Settings.

Ok, I did a little research, and the program is called Intel Active Monitor.

War1: Well I guess I jumped the gun since I was so happy to have a dual monitor  system running that I did not realize the problem went away after a cold reboot!

I am now in PC Heaven with freshly install 512 megs,a dual boot system with one HD dedicated to my sone so he will not turn off my virus scanners and fire wall and the dual monitor system.
