Using OBJECT tag to call an RTF file

I need help pulling an RTF file into an OBJECT TAG.  I can do it with IFRAME, but I get the text editor framework.

.... of course browsers may not support it. MSIE has very bad support for <object> in general.

Converting to HTML and placing the resultent code directly in the document (possibly making use of the CSS overflow property to add scrollbars) might be a better (and more reliable) bet.

Do you have any other ideas since the suggest OBJECT will not work?  Thanks!

When I bring an RTF document into a Web page via teh IFRAME tag, I get the editor ruler and scroll bars also.  How can I suppress that?

You can't. That is how the MS Office plugin works.
