PalmPilot Synching with Outlook, privacy concern

Please give me advice on how to deal with synching my Palm at work and maintaining some of my privacy. Please tell me how you deal with this.

I have a new job and I think I want to synch my Palm info with my Work computer. I understand Intellisynch can do a good job with Palm and Outlook. I'm concerned about private information.

I think my options are:
1. I could download appointments to my palm but not upload from my Palm.
2. I could mark some appointments or addresses as private with password protect (not too secure)
3. I could encrypt the private (#2) appointments

But I don't know which way to go.

I think I don't want to do #1 because when meetings get postponed in Outlook (as they do all the time) they would show on my Palm as two meetings. Because it’s a download not a synch.

I see DateBk4 has a Set Category Private. That looks interesting.

I will use DateBk 4/5, Shadow, and I will access Address Book through DateBk4/5.

If you are so worried about privacy you should put nothing personal on a computer at work.  The law is on the employer's side.  Your bosses can come in at any time and look at whatever is on their machines.  That would mean your email, appointments, files, or whatever.  They own the machine, it's contents, and you while you are on the clock.
