Hi all,
I want to run the progress bar control to display exactly the same status as that of some executing process! e.g. some setup is running, i want to catch the exact status of percentagewise completion of that and display it on progress bar control. Once status is captured displaying is easy. But how to do that?
Thanks in advance
Sam

to do most of these progress bar calculations, you need to do some predetermined tasks.  For example, if you were tying to copy 10 files with different sizes, then you add file sizes of all the 10 files and then everytime you copy a file, you express that as a percentage of the total size.  This could be done as a running total and could update the progressbar accordingly.

Depending on your settings, you have to do some estimates on which tasks going to take long, and what percentage of the overall task.  I don't think you can achive an exact results.  I guess the answer depends on what task you do during the setup process.
