Does anyone know an easy way of directly controlling an I/O port? &nbsp;I have a custom board that populates an address range that allows me to control 8-8 bit ports. &nbsp;I need to read and write directly to these port. &nbsp;My old code was written in a combination of VB for DOS and MASM. &nbsp;I did most of my control functions through MASM and called them from VB. &nbsp;I could use the code if there is a way of linking my OBJ file to my VB6 program.<br />

Visual Basic is Microsoft’s event-driven programming language and integrated development environment (IDE) for its Component Object Model (COM) programming model. It is relatively easy to learn and use because of its graphical development features and BASIC heritage. It has been replaced with VB.NET, and is very similar to VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), the programming language for the Microsoft Office product line.
