Logitech MX700 Cordless Mouse Problem!

I have been using the Logitech MX700 Cordless Mouse since Christmas, and it is truly awesome!!!

I have a problem though. The pointer speed of the mouse in Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer is normal, but when I am on the Windows Desktop the pointer speed is very slow. My batteries are fully charged, I went into the Mouse Properties and everything in there is normal, and I even reinstalled the MouseWare 9.75 software.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

The MX700 has notoriously bad drivers (mouseware 9.75).  I have heard many users, especially those who play games, complain about its inconsistencies and other problems.  Your best courses are to either look for new drivers on logitech's site (to see if they have fixed the problem) or to uninstall the logitech drivers and use standard Windows optical mouse drivers.  The only problem with the latter solution is that you may lose some of the mouse's functionality (i.e. with auxilliary buttons/scroll wheels).

Good Luck!
