Why is the taskbar on my computer always missing? I have to delete the profile folder in Documents and Settings to remedy it but this only works for a while. After a few booting up sessions, the taskbar goes missing again.

seems that the process explorer.exe is crashing often.

disable all background applications from the registry key below:

HKEY_localmachine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run

Restart Windows.

If the same happens again, start a new explorer.exe process by pressing ctrl+alt+delete. In the task manager click file new "explorer.exE"
