What is PC Genius?  Is it XP compatible?  Read the requirements on the box.

     Many thanks for your comment.
The program PC Genius is a childs learning pacage from
(whom I cannot seem to contact). The box says Win95, win98 or later.
this mean that it cannot be run on an NT based system?

Probably not.  I have a CAD package that does not say it is XP compatible.  After a little trouble getting it installed it seems to run well.  I sent the company an email and they said it is not XP compatible.
The best source to find out about XP compatibility is the manufacturer.  Can you send them an email?

The answer to the problem.
Load PC Genius onto a win95/98 pc.
Copy the deamm folder to the Programs Folder on winXP
Open the PC genius config file and change root to CD drive
Run PC Genius.exe.
When asked to insert CD then and only then insert the required CD.
