Looking for a Lotus Screencam like program to produce training software

Lotus used to make a pretty good training application called Screencam.  It allowed one to record voice and screen/mouse information in order to create a software training presentation.

Unfortunately, IBM/Lotus have done ZERO development on this (otherwise excellent) software since Windows NT4.  Because I feel it's an obsolete product, I don't wish to continue using it.

Is there an alternative program available that is similar in functionality?

Thank you,
SDC

As webwoman mentioned before, Camtasia is a very ease and effective program. Nowadays it is Camtasia Studio.

You can download it here:
http://www.techsmith.com/download/studiodefault.asp

Note that it uses it own codec, the TSCC codec, for very effective compression. I think you can use more common codecs too.

But camtasia works fine for inclusion in presentations or first impressions.

One particular program often overlooked is PowerPoint, the latest version (XP)it offers a lot of options. You casn narrate and import avi's video etc.If you are creating your own avi's use the codec Div5 has excellent compression. One trick I found with Powerpoint especially running movies or sim, is to load in the Windows Media Player into the slide, do not install movies directly (which how they tell you to do it) only for some reason it slows down the anim/movie the other gives really great results. Any further help if trying PowerPoint let me know
