In Lotus Notes R5, when trying to save a draft e-mail, received the following error message:
"Exception break point error. Click OK to terminate or cancel to debug."

Any clues on why I received this message?

sounds like a java or javascript error, not a notes one. Is this using the standard Notes 5 template?

can you describe the error dialog box? Is it notes like, or more generally windows like?  Is it red?

ok.  So you get an RBOD (Red Box of Death) when saving as a draft.

Please tell me what specific client version you have.  5.0.?

go to the server, at the console, type:

load convert mail\mailfile.nsf * inotes5.ntf

if that works, convert all the mailboxes:

load convert mail\*.nsf * inotes5.ntf

Was there something inadaquate about that answer?  Please see these guidelines on answers:

http://www.experts-exchange.com/Applications/Email/Lotus_Notes/cmtyQuestAnswer.jsp#4

A: The Expert(s) either provided you with a thorough answer or they provided you with a link to information that thoroughly answered your question. An "A" can also be given to any answer that you found informative or enlightening beyond the direct question that you asked.

B: The Expert(s) provided an acceptable solution, or a link to an acceptable solution, that you were able to use, although you may have needed a bit more information to complete the task.

C: Because Experts' reliability are often judged by their grading records, many Experts would like the opportunity to clarify if you have questions about their solutions. If you have given the Expert(s) ample time to respond to your clarification posts and you have responded to each of their posts providing requested information; or if the answers, after clarification, lack finality or do not completely address the issue presented, then a "C" grade is an option. You also have the option here of just asking Community Support to delete the question.

I selected good because it said to be fair. I would have selected excellent if I knew that meant A. The answer was very good and helpful. This is my first time posting.

No problem, thanks.

There are a number of things about this site that are "odd" or just downright poorly implemented.

One of these days I'd like to re-do the whole thing in Notes/Domino -- it'd probaby take 2 days and run better.
