How do i put an image as a background for a JTextArea?

Hi im creating a mobile phone application that sends messages across the network.. Anyways, the question im asking is how do i put an image as the background for a JTextArea, so that when i view it the image is in the background of the JTextArea, and i can write in the JTextArea as usual with the image in the background (just for visual effects basically).

Any advice?

Thanks,
