No DPMS Signal

When I switch on computer I am getting No DPMS Signal on monitor & nothing is displayed on monitor.I mean monitor screen is blank.What might be the problem?

check that the smps fan is rotating...
do you get any beeps??
make sure that the motherboard is getting powered on.
is it that only display is not there but the system shows hdd activity as usual.
open the computer and make sure all the cables are connected properly and there is not loose connection.

Connections were not proper,they were lose.I took out all the connections & connected them back.
