how do i sort an rich text box without loosing the format?

how do i sort an rich text box without loosing the format? I'm thinking about a shell sort. It's supposed to sort paragraphs, but each line will be a paragraph, so it sorts lines, alphabeticaly.
Anyone can help? my rich text box is called rich.
