vkotor,

apache is a web server, and cannot (by default) work as ftp server.

You could emulate some ftp capability, but you would need to use web client to browse the files (and not ftp client).

cheers.

vkotor,

For example, you had your stuff in c:\software and you need to let other to visit your site, and download things.

You would need to have the following config in your httpd.conf
-----
Alias /software/ "C:/Software/"

<Directory "C:/Software/">
    Options Indexes MultiViews
    AllowOverride None
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
</Directory>
-----

And restart apache.

People can browse to http://www.youserver/software/ and they will be presented with a directory listing.

Give it a shot.
