I used the following code in my program

<td><a href="next.jsp" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('Image21','','images/cont.gif',1)"><img src="images/cont1.gif" border="0" name="Image21"></a></td>

I intend to have a form object in the same HTML page and a submit button.But I should also have the cont1.gif and cont.gif images for better display instead of a ordinary looking submit button

Could someone help me from this.I know it may seem easy but I am new to web development

You're not restricted to submit buttons for submitting forms. You can use any element you like as long you relate for instance the click event to the submit action.

<img onClick="submitForm()" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage'Image21','','images/cont.gif',1)">

<script language="Javascript">
function submitForm() {

Where Exampleform is the name of your form (name attribute).

instead of a normal submit button use image.  The functionality is dentical:

<input type="image" src="images/cont1.gif" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('Image21','','images/cont.gif',1)">
