Error uninstalling Half-Life on Windows XP

As the title states, when I try to uninstall Half-Life, I get an error stating (somewhere along these lines):

Cannot finish uninstalling
C:\Program Files\Sierra\Half-Life\Uninst.isu file corrupt or missing.

Does anyone know a way around this? Is it possible to just get a Uninst.isu file from someone else and then use it to uninstall? Does this have anything to do with the fact that I'm running Windows XP?

Any insight or comment is appreciated. Please post!

Thanks in advance
RW

You can do a Start-Run-SFC /scannow to check for and fix file corruption.

use uninstaller pro and try that www.download.com and do a search there

or you could do a serch for the corrupt file and replace it not sure how you go about that though try re-installing then uninstalling again

You certainly have this error because you have delete the folder of hl before really desinstall it with the remove program. So windows stills have keys in the register so it can't be desinstall. The easy way to remove it is to reinstall it in the same folder of the precedent and desintall it the good way... You can also try to delete keys in the register that concers half life but it's a little bit risky if you don't know how to use regedit.

Just put the CD in and install the game again.
Then uninstall it.
Some of you're friends will have the CD,if you don't have one
