Open C:\ folder
Click Tools > Folder Options > View > Enable Show hidden files/folders.

You wont get the popup message now.

I did that, which is nothing but showing both hidden files in all the folders/directories.  Welli d't get that pop-up.

Now what happens is say if i have a directory with only songs and i open with winamp and go with option selecting all files (Ctrl->A) it also selects those File1, File2 mentioned above which are not songs. I d't want this to happen and also the pop up.

How do i do this?

you either view all hidden/system files or you don't....  to get around your WinAmp problem, just CTRL+A to select all, then press/hold the CTRL key and unselect the files you don't want to play.

I'm not sure if this is what your looking for... you can also uncheck the "Hide protected Operating system files" box that is in the same place listed above.

I tried that it pops with 'warning saying the the computer might not work as i am trying to display systems files' which i d't want really.  I d't know why when i do a select all it pops for asking the hidden files? Hope i am clear. This should not happen at any given time because those are hidden files and why its popping like that is still a mystery?
