Hello,

i had an office 2000 sr-1 uk working fine on the windows 2000 terminal server in the class room
since we rent out the class room for instruction on office, i had to install the dutch version.

i installed the office 2000 sr-1 dutch version exactly like the working uk version after the reinstall (with transforms etc...)

the result is that all office applications immediately shutdown after their start.

i tried already the regfix and 1000 other things but can't work it out.

Anyone advice ?

Thanks

Is the TS server installed in RA mode or App? Were you sure to use the add remove programs to install?

If you read up on the transforms you cannot make such a change.  You will need to uninstall Office 2000, which by the way is not strait forward.  Uninstall Office, then remove it's directory (you may need to reboot to do so.)  Then there is an a tool in th Office XP Resource Kit called OffCln.exe.  It's the best Office uninstall tool MS has come out with yet.  Run it and reboot, then run your Office 2000 install with your new transforms file.

You can get the tool at: http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/xp/appndx/appc00.htm and find the download Orktools.exe.

Wouldn't be the first time.  I have run into bad or damaged CDs a couple time, still have a set on mshelf that won't install Outlook properly.  Does not give any errors, it just does not work.

Once again, you should try different media for your install.  MSGeek.
