about crystal report dont print empty records

i make a crystal report(sale.rpt) in crystal report ver 8.0
and use this report in Visual basic, database is oracle 8 enterprize on win 2000.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<question start here>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
from vb i have a button which print the report on the basis of
formula which is descirbed in txt fields.
some time a formula not give results because oracle table not contain
data according to that formula.
for example my oracle table contain a data of 14-mar-2003 only
but i say to report print records of 15-mar-2003. then crystal eport should
not print the structure of report.

when i give 14-mar-2003 then
report print(which are correct because he found records related 14-mar-2003)
structure part   data part
-------------    -------
Name              Asif
Address           abc
Date              14-mar-2003

pid          name                 sale      amount
1             a                    250        500
2             b                    350         1000
n             n                       n          n
----------------------------------------
but when i give 15-mar-2003 then he print(But i want when he not found the records then do not print the structures)

In CR7 you can set an option to not print if norecords were selected

Open the report
Select FILE --> OPTIONS
Click the REPORTING Tab
Look for the Suppress Printing if no records selected

when my selection formula does not fetch any records.
then i want to show this text on report dettail or any portion "<<<<< This Report does not contain any data>>>>>"
how i can do it, the table and report is already described in my question.

Try this

Create a Running Total
Display the Field List
Right Click on Running Total
Select NEW
Name - RecCount
Field to summarize - Key field
Type of Summary - Count
Evaluate - Every Record
Reset - Never


In the report footer add  text box woth your NO DATA  statement

Select the text box
Click FORMAT --> FORMAT FIELD
Select the formula button with SUPRESS
Formula is
#RecCount> 0
