You'd probably have a folder on c drive, windows\options or win95, be sure wich it's in.
At booting when you see starting win95 hit f8, choose command promt, you should see a: type c: , type enter, then type folder\setup ,type enter, where folder is where your win95 setup files are.
C:\windows\options\setup or C:\windows\cabs\setup or C:\win95\setup ,One should work.
This will allow you to runsetup and retain your current programs and files.
Hope it helps.

Am lost completely, probably have to use restore/recovery disk
www.bootdisk.com/
Boot to disk and then reinstall.
Make sure bios is set for a: drive to boot first.
If you need help on bios issue let me know.
Or if recovery cd allows you to reinstall without reformating that could be the best way to go.

When it restarts it should reload them or ask for them.
If this doesn't work another way is in device properties remove hard disk controller again, shut down pc, unplug power cord, remove cover of pc, on the cdroms disconnect power source, start pc ,after windows loads shut back down,
uplug power source and reinstall power to cdroms when it starts up it should load cdrom.
The missing and damaged files is for the internet and modem .
In "C:\Windows\temp or C:\WINDOWS\Windows Update Setup Files" dir, look for a ie5 or ie6 setup double click and restore.
If that works once you get cdrom do a find for Turbovbf.VxD and copy it to C:\windows\system folder.
This is common for win95.
Also if you want to give it another go, run setup again and I suspect it asked if you wanted to keep newer files during setup, this time click no, many times with win95 you have to Install the original explore and associated files then upgrade Internet explorer afterwards.

If you go to the website of the maker of your pc that should have the drivers.
This is a good utility for finding chipset if you have trouble finding it.

If nothing else report back with info and I'll help, usually you can do search on the net for the chipset to find drivers.
