I have got a Cisco 675 ADSL router. As far as I know the device only works with CAP encoding. Has anyone had any experience with converting this to work with DMT Issue 2 on the UK BT ADSL network?

Not possible. For GDMT and ANSI mode you need the 678 which uses a different chipset.
