Win XP Client - A teacher wants her computer in the classroom to have a shortcut in favorites

She want all who logs into the computer to have it, but the problem is that when you add a ".url" file in "All users/Favorites" it doesnt affect anyone or anything :). Something weird about that folder, why is it there if it doesnt work? An answer would be greatly appretiated!

Its a reg hack!
HKCU>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Explorer>User Shell Folders

edit the "favorites" key to point to the appropriate folder.

This will have to be done to all the users on the computer.

Thx for the reply, I've talked to the administrator and he talked about kix script to edit registry at that path to solve this, we'll see.

Easier way to do it instead of doing a registry hack would be to instead put a shortcut to the URL on the desktop and then put that shortcut in the ALL USERS/Desktop folder.  You can right click any URL from the Favorites menu and "send to: Desktop".
