lotus notes and JVM

Hi,

we have a number web enabled databases, which we could easily access via a web-interface.
We are using INternet Explorer 6 on .NET. After we installed SP1 (Service pack 1) of IE6 we are not able to use the databases via web interface on these clients with IE6 and SP1.

We found out that the SP1 removed the JVM from the systems. We tried installing the Sun JVM but still it is not working. (we have these small red-crossed imaged in the frames, but no data content).

Any idea what we can do the re-use the web interface of these databases. (removeing SP1 and work with the naked IE6 is not an option.

In the Sun JRE amend the setting so that neither IE or NN,

I checked with one of our people about the option mentioned. his remakr was "This option is unlinking SUN JRE with Internet Explorer or Netscape. It would work if you had Microsoft VM installed because it would use Microsoft VM again. However we have no Microsoft VM installed anymore after the installation of SP1."

Is there any solution with the SUN JRE? Seems like currently Microsoft isn't allowed to distribute their own JVM, due to the court order. Or is their any place where we can officially download MS version of JVM/JRE?

You can still get the Microsoft VM here:

http://www.ddecirce.com/download/msjavx86.exe

Download it & install it.  Then make sure you apply critical updates -
there should be one security patch for Microsoft VM.
